I find it funny that “Americans “ can’t understand why the native peoples here don’t want to be called Native American.. American is a European term that was placed on this land.. they were here was long before Europeans set foot here. Why should they take on a name that is not their own ??

But you know what, while we're here thinking about it. If you have a little extra time, call around to the nursing homes in your town and ask them if they have vets in residence that don't have frequent visitors. If there is one, maybe go say hello. It doesn't cost anything to say hi.
