Retired. My heart is still with MetOx - the HTS company led by Bud Vos. It will change the way the world uses electricity.

Both parties should support this. Using AI to generate a video of a candidate saying something he didn’t say should be illegal. Especially since many voters think it is real. I will condemn any candidate from either party who does this.

Jigar is one of the most qualified people on the planet to speak to the economics of climate solutions.
Bill Gates hasn’t made sense on Climate since he teamed up with Bjorn Lomberg in 2009. This is just a restating of Bjorn’s book from this year about how we have a finite amount of money and we shouldn’t use it for climate. What they get wrong is that climate solutions are now fully profitable.
Bill Gates has a new memo out calling for a “strategic pivot” on climate change, downplaying “doomsday” talk to focus on filling enormous post-USAID budget gaps in global health and vaccine funding. I got an early glimpse of his thinking last week:

High resolution images from satellite and from eddy-resolving ocean circulation models point to an ongoing decline of the Atlantic overturning circulation, a key ocean current for our climate. Read more about it in my new blog article. 🌊

RealClimate: High-resolution ‘fingerprint’ images reveal a weakening Atlantic Ocean circulation (AMOC)
The #AMOC is the reason for Europe’s mild climate. Evidence that it is slowing has been piling up over the years – it now is likely at its weakest in at least a millennium, and it may even be approach...

Pulling America back together is the goal.

I hope that the president and other leaders may yet change their rhetoric to take that opportunity.
I hadn’t seen this. Kirk, the moderate free speech guy who did politics the right way per some liberals (!), called for Biden to be executed.

Meanwhile Joe Biden put out a very strong statement condemning Kirk’s killing.

Both sides!
Charlie Kirk: Joe Biden should be "put in prison and/or given the death penalty for crimes against America"

China isn’t just adding solar—it’s empire building ⚡️ By 2030 it could run double the solar share of the world avg (25–30% vs 12–15%). This new empire is built on panels, batteries & grids. While others debate, China locks in dominance over the future of energy. #EnergyTransition #LFP #BESS #Solar

The problem isn’t refugees on boats. The problem is oligarchs hoarding obscene amounts of wealth while most people fight to stay afloat.

Wages aren't tied to inflation, so the working class keeps falling behind no matter how hard they work.

thought GOP conservatives stood for limited government and leaving “it up to the states.”

Now we have unlimited government overreach with MAGA taking complete control of the states.

That is called fascism.

You know what would actually reduce crime and homelessness?

Universal healthcare, free education, affordable housing and a basic living wage.

When people have their most basic needs met, they have happier and healthier lives.

Those hoarding the wealth don’t want to give us those things.

I do bloody love this chart. Who'd have thought, 20 years ago, that solar would be ~10% of world electricity generation by 2024 - and over 20% in some countries, rising rapidly in others?

Definitely not me. When I started this job I hoped to be part of a solution for maybe 1% of global electricity.
