BC Gov was the first to announce that we’d appeal the decision of Cowichan Tribes v. AG Canada et al. We strongly disagree with the court’s treatment of private property, but even as this case continues, we know lasting solutions are found through dialogue & collaboration with First Nations partners
What the Cowichan decision really means, and how we move forward together

Small businesses are the backbone of BC's economy.

They're driving innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening our communities.

This week, visit a local business and support the neighborhood cafés, bookstores and service providers who help BC thrive.

We know communities are feeling the impact of global economic uncertainty and big challenges.

Despite these pressures, B.C.'s economy remains resilient. In Sept:

✅Employment up 7,800
✅48,600 jobs gained yr/yr
✅25,000 private sector jobs, leading all provinces

Let’s be clear about what Alberta is proposing:

BC loses billions of dollars of major projects from private investors.

AND Canadian taxpayers are forced to pay billions more because there is no interest from a private company.

That’s not fair. And fairness is a Canadian value.

Big news for B.C. families 💙

Today, I introduced legislation that will make it easier for school districts to offer #ChildCareOnSchoolGrounds — so parents can find quality care in the same safe, familiar places where their kids learn & grow.

BC’s growth is Canada’s growth.

A TeamCanada approach means we can defend Canadian steel producers while ensuring BC has access to fairly priced steel, so we can build our infrastructure, grow the economy, and continue supporting steel workers in B.C.

My message at NYC Climate Week: Look to BC!

Our clean energy means we can produce the lowest carbon energy products anywhere in the world.

While clean tech is chased out of other places, they are welcomed in BC.

We are ready to do this work while bringing prosperity to BC and Canada.

Surrey is one of the fastest growing regions in Canada. That’s why we’re building more infrastructure south of the Fraser, faster.

People in Surrey will get better access to the services they need, while providing more jobs for British Columbians during construction.
