B.C.'s economy remains resilient and strong, despite global headwinds. We have tens of billions of dollars in shovel-ready projects ready to go.

With major economic projects comes prosperity for communities, good jobs for people, and strong services for families.

Despite global uncertainty, B.C.’s economy remains resilient with yr/yr increase of 36,100 jobs, including 27,400 more in the private sector.

We can’t control what the US President does, but we can defend B.C. workers and build a stronger, more independent economy.

Being impacted by a disaster event is extremely difficult for communities. Our priority is keeping people, businesses, and properties safe during emergencies.

We've launched a new resource to help businesses & communities prepare for and recover from disaster events.

It’s important for us to speak directly to Americans looking to build home or renovate. How much this work costs is going up – because Donald Trump has slapped additional tariffs on top of already unfair softwood duties. We didn’t do it, so we shouldn’t wear it.

Despite tariff uncertainty, B.C. small businesses continue to show resilience:

✅ 4th lowest small business tax in 🇨🇦
✅ 3rd highest 5-year growth rate in 🇨🇦
✅ One of only two provinces with rising long-term confidence

We'll keep building an economy that works for people.

Small businesses are the backbone of BC's economy.

They're driving innovation, creating jobs, and strengthening our communities.

This week, visit a local business and support the neighborhood cafés, bookstores and service providers who help BC thrive.

Had great discussions with Consuls General from Japan, Korea, and ASEAN on strengthening Indo-Pacific trade and investment ties.

Thank you @bizcouncilbc.bsky.social for championing our businesses and building strong communities.

As we look to the future, our message to Ottawa and global investors is clear:

If you want to drive economic growth and opportunity for Canada, look west.

B.C. is ready to lead.🍁

BC will drive the Canadian economy at a time when it's under attack by Trump and those who echo his message here.

If Canada wants to grow its economy, the answer is simple: look west to British Columbia.

That's where we're building a path to prosperity for all Canadians.🍁

We know communities are feeling the impact of global economic uncertainty and big challenges.

Despite these pressures, B.C.'s economy remains resilient. In Sept:

✅Employment up 7,800
✅48,600 jobs gained yr/yr
✅25,000 private sector jobs, leading all provinces

Vaping rates are rising across BC, and so is nicotine addiction. We've introduced new legislation that allows BC to take legal action against vape companies to recover public health care costs tied to vaping-related harm.

BC has billions in shovel-ready projects ready to go.

Instead of real jobs for our province, the BC Conservatives are standing up for themselves, infighting and Alberta politics.

We’ll continue to ignore the noise and deliver for this province and country.

Let’s be clear about what Alberta is proposing:

BC loses billions of dollars of major projects from private investors.

AND Canadian taxpayers are forced to pay billions more because there is no interest from a private company.

That’s not fair. And fairness is a Canadian value.

BC’s growth is Canada’s growth.

A TeamCanada approach means we can defend Canadian steel producers while ensuring BC has access to fairly priced steel, so we can build our infrastructure, grow the economy, and continue supporting steel workers in B.C.
