If magic is scary and dangerous, creating magic items should be less "enchanting a grand sword for your king" and more "accidentally* inventing the torment nexus."

I found this old block notes where I scribbled up these tiny dungeons and I have absolutely no clue about what they were about.

So yeah, there you have it: steal these dungeons and make up some stories for them, I guess!

When it comes to itch, you should price your work high and put it on sale. Your pdf can be $20 and just put on sale for $10 if. you're nervous. I tend to get a lot more eyes on my work when they pdfs are on sale. Idk why. I'm sure there's some psychology behind it, but I'm not a psychologist.

Writers should internalize Lao Tzu's lesson about how the emptiness at the center of a wheel is what makes it useful, and how a pot is valuable because of where the clay *isn't*. Corporate geek culture has warped us into thinking that negative spaces are flaws that need to be fixed.

About time a search engine did this.
Picture research is time-consuming enough with also having to trawl through page after tedious page of false, redundant, pointless imagery claiming to be something it isn't.

Noodled this up the other day, still thinking about it

1. Extrapolating the implied setting of OD&D is an interesting exercise to me. What makes a fighter a fighter? He is in the fighting "social class."

2. Being explicit about game phases is interesting to me. We need to do a better job of this.

ADVENTURE! is done!

Things I learned:

Yes, you can use unwaxed embroidery floss to bind a book… but you have to untangle it 1,000 times.

Yes, you can do a Coptic stitch with a straight needle. It is a giant pain in the ass and curved needles are easier to use and only marginally harder to find.
