my take on "summon star vampire"
Invocation to a Dining Fellow. Stand beneath a cloudless sky, witnessed by stars. Bring the starter - a fattening swine or calf. With a many-pointed disk, prick the back of the offering, letting the blood flow. The disk must be of virgin steel, or else old bronze. Do not allow the animal to flee. Hold fast, reapplying the disk for each hour the guest does not arrive. You will know of their arrival when they begin to titter and laugh. As they consume the dish, they will reveal themselves in a palette of blood. Do not flee nor waver, or else they will mistake you for the main course. Instead, visualise the main course in your mind. The guest will go forth to seek their meal.
