If you're not reading theory, you're doing it wrong
If the Internet successfully Rick and Morty-ifies Smiling Friends I am going to lose my mind.

We've got a good thing going here. Can we please be normal about it?

My favorite part about this app is that some of the most insightful leftist posting comes from a Kirby pfp in an age gap relationship and some of the most reactionary takes I see come from a lib with a John Brown pfp repeating DNC bullshit
I feel like there’s power in knowing 10,000 people are mad about your words.

Why yes hello, what stage of capitalism is it when a well-to-do town's train station gets locked up and is subsequently turned into a police station?

This is not unique to Trump, but I will never be able to wrap my head around the rich’s obsessive overuse of carrara marble.
the tone deafness is beyond parody

The cynic in me thinks that they're doing this specifically so they can kill and copyright strike the fan projects that have released original film scans over the past few years.

4k77, 4k80, and 4k83 are very well done
Holy shit, Disney is finally releasing the original Star Wars Trilogy scanned directly from the original negatives?

A criminally underrated aspect of the increasing unaffordability of homes is that our financial crises are becoming low-rent.

There is currently a subprime loan crisis for cars. Two lenders have gone bankrupt and delinquencies are at the highest level in decades.

The world would be a better place if more people were capable of empathy and abstract thought. You shouldn't have to go to solitary confinement to support prison reform
just found out that about a week ago, while george santos has been in solitary confinement, that he wrote that due to the inhuman conditions he is facing he is now pro prison reform. just unreal stuff honestly

1. Cheugy was slang that became dated almost immediately. This article is written by a millennial.

2. You don't like Le Creuset because nobody in your life is discerning enough to buy complementary colors.

3. Overconsumption and heirlooms don't mix. You hate the marketing not the product.
Le Creuset is Cheugy 👎

I do not consider myself a Taylor Swift hater by any stretch of the imagination, but as someone who doesn't care for her music it feels nice to see Swifties hearing what I have been hearing for the past 10-15 years

I'm watching Kamala and the DNC at large not only learn nothing from losing the past election, but actively throw trans people under the bus while they continue to court a mythical conservative centrist that has not existed in 30 years. There is no reason to think that Hasan is off base for this.

The most pathetic part of this type of nostalgia bait is that this is not a bygone era. You can still do/have 90% of this stuff in 2025.

It's also very telling that late 90s/Y2K nostalgia is just consumption as opposed to anything contributing to culture.
This is doing numbers on social media right now and it's so depressing how people truly yearn for this shit and want to preserve that feeling indefinitely like a mausoleum of false memories.

That 54% figure is much more dire than taking it at face value would suggest. 21% of American adults are functionally illiterate, which is characterized as having a 4th grade reading level at best.

A majority of children were left behind.

I'm not the first person to have had this musing, but that "good times create weak men" poem actually holds true because a lot of the social progress we've had in everything from labor laws to medicine to public health is being undone by people too dumb to remember when people simply died
Marx failed to consider the capitalists being so fucking addled and stupid that they ban vaccines and tylenol. Capitalists vaccinate their fucking CATTLE.

The Third Reich killed millions of people in 12 years

Pinochet also killed 40k in 17 years and his specter fuels Latin American fascist movements to this day.

The problem is not that 2025 is forever. The problem is that these things do not end passively.

Fascists tend to go down swinging.
The Third Reich didn't last 1,000 years.

Pinochet was ousted with a referendum.

And the US isn't exactly dealing with the smartest, most competent fascists.

Those of you insisting that 2025 is forever need to read a book, touch grass, go to therapy, anything other than trying to make others quit.

Broke: Idiocracy is a documentary; only idiots are having kids.

Woke: Idiocracy is an imperfect look at an anti-intellectual society, but we aren't there yet.

Bespoke: Idiocracy is a documentary. Also Crocs are mainstream and I don't know how Mike Judge predicted that.
Broke: Snow White failed because of Israel ☹️

Woke: Snow White failed because it's a lazy production and there was a PR campaign to blame its failure on Rachel Zegler before the movie even released

Bespoke: Snow White failed because everything in "woke," and Gal Gadot cannot act

I can tell this guy was raised by salespeople (derogatory) because his startup "ideas" are:
-a solved problem
-a solved problem (group chats exist)
-a solved problem (it exists and tastes bad)
-too broad and too vague
-a solved problem (cash exists)
The Flock CEOs website is interesting…

The Coca-Cola Freestyle machine is an echo chamber. Good luck finding nuanced debates about hot button issues on that touch screen. It’s just soda names and flavored syrups

I love these liberal power fantasies because I cannot remember a time when a DNC president has delivered on a high-stakes campaign promise.

Biden still owes me $600 and people think the next Dem president is going to pack the Supreme Court?
The next Democratic president should declare that the National Emergencies Act and Article II of the Constitution allow him to:

•admit D.C. and Puerto Rico as states
•abolish ICE
•grant citizenship to any immigrant
•disband the 5th Circuit
•expand the Supreme Court

Seriously: Why the hell not?

The Elizabeth Gilbert essays are a perfect reminder that the self help/motivational speakers are one of the lowest forms of content currently out there.

It's a genre that's a perfectly closed loop of dumb broken people trying to gleam insight from the ramblings of dumb narcissists.
