Trump is like a toddler: time he spends asleep is to be prized, not resented. Every minute he sleeps is a minute he is not tantruming or breaking things or smearing his own shit on things.

Nuremburg trials is the moderate position
He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

Three nights ago, I had dinner with friends at an upscale restaurant. Tonight, I devoured the latter half of a bag of Flamin’ Hot Cheddar & Sour Cream Ruffles. I don’t know where this places me on the political spectrum, but I’m open to interpretations.

Even if the Trump admin was removed today, and somehow none of his current chudfuckery continued on for another single day, the damage he's wrought can't be undone.

OMG this William G. Young opinion that just dropped (12:30pm) in AAUP v. Rubio.
It begins with a postcard sent to Chambers and Young's reply

card: "Trump has pardons and tanks, what do you have?"

WGY: "We the People of the United States — you and me — have our magnificent Constitution"

Watching a third of the country beclown and degrade themselves in cultish devotion to this stumbling turnip makes me want to puke.
Trump's brain is now incoherently flitting from topic to topic as the UN sits listening him to complete silence

So many cowards and cynics on display right now. When the pendulum does swing back--and it will--don't forget where these sad and pathetic people stood in the hour of democracy's greatest need.

A grim reminder: these people will never be satisfied. There’s no point at which they will say “we’ve won, let’s enjoy life.” They will always be looking for someone else to punish, to revile, to dehumanize. They’re empty without that.

A totalitarian movement must never achieve its goals, as that would eliminate the need for the movement itself. Even in victory, new enemies must be created in order to justify further cruelty and domination.

This is eliminationist, genocidal rhetoric. There’s nothing ambiguous about it. And it didn’t come from a random Bluesky account with 28 followers. It came from a sitting member of Congress.

This is an important time to remember that responsibility is not a zero-sum game — recognizing one person’s fault does not necessarily diminish another person’s.

The Trump administration is fascist. And ABC cynically caved and abandoned American values for money. Both are worthy of your contempt.

Considering ANTIFA just means anti-fascist, how the fuck is declaring ANTIFA a terrorist organization not just a flagrant violation of the first amendment?

I eagerly await the day I can forget that Charlie Kirk existed. Until then, I will say, he didn't deserve to die, but I will not mourn that racist, sexist, transphobic asshole.

I just wish he had faded into obscurity.

It really just daily astounds me how limited Americans understanding of politics really is. How conservatives really see "liberals, socialists, communists, anarchists" as basically all the same thing. How liberals like Ezra Klein really think Ben Shapiro is "the opposing viewpoint." Its wild.

REPORTER: How much wealthier are you now than when you returned to the WH?

TRUMP: The deals I made for the most part, other than what my kids are doing - they're running my business - were made before. Where are you from?

R: Australia

T: In my opinion you are hurting Australia right now. Quiet.

I think several things can be true at once: 1) assassination is bad, 2) the consequences of this assassination are going to be bad, and 3) the person who got assassinated worked very hard to make assassination an acceptable, even inevitable feature of our world, he just didn't think it would be him.

It is absolutely insane to me that we're having a debate over whether or not the rightwing deploys violent rhetoric within days of a Fox News personality calling for homeless people to be killed by lethal injection. There is no excuse for this obliviousness. It's unacceptable.

It’s telling that it’s mainly cis, straight, able-bodied people crying, “How dare someone lose their life over politics!” That reaction shows they’ve never had skin in the game. For them, politics is abstract. For the rest of us, politics is survival—how we navigate the world just to stay alive.

This is something the Republican Party has been working on for some time. I first tracked it in Florida where a bill gained traction that would have taken away nonprofit status from lgbt nonprofits.

Even wrote a story on it.

We are very much at increased risk of these kinds of fascist crackdowns.
