Kamala Harris campaigned on making home care part of Medicare, which would’ve greatly eased the issue of caring for our parents.

But Trump won so we not only didn’t get that, we’re getting devastation of nursing homes as well.

This is going to ruin a lot of families.

This book is riveting and so, so infuriating. It follows 5 families in Atlanta who are struggling to remain housed and paints deeply compassionate portraits of each unit. It reads almost like a novel but is outstanding journalism

Meanwhile, the 19 richest households saw their wealth increase by $1 trillion in 2024 — the biggest one-year increase ever.

There have been 12 mine fatalities so far in 2025. In the same period in 2024, there were 5. So while the administration is making cuts at MSHA and delaying the implementation of the much-needed silica rule, the number of miners dying has more than doubled.
