I love my wife.

Now I have to tell this story. Sit down.

A few days ago our house suddenly began to smell like burnt death. Not too unusual for our house. Oddly, this smell was emanating from our kitchen. Specifically, the dishwasher.

I spend a lot of time writing about many of the horrors of American history, but one consistent bright spot, something about which it is right to be proud, is that we've never had a king.

Continuing the trend started last fall. Same trend downward across Europe for months.
Australia is one of the only countries bucking the trend.

This was ruled a catch by Xavier Worthy on the field. The Bills challenge, but it fails, and the call stands.

Do you agree? 🤔

Here’s what happens though.

Employees get a medical benefit card with 8 phone numbers on the back. Employees are confused by the various entities and angry at employer’s benefit manager when they’re denied a claims.
That authorization process is one we should not be asking ins comps to do. That role should be performed by INDEPENDENT TPAs. With zero economic incentive to approve or deny.

The first step is for self insured entities to use 3rd party TPAs and move away from insurance companies for this service

The victim, UHC’s CEO, was known to play board games where the goal was to become rich, by taking all of the other player’s property, money, railroads and utilities.

Given the uncertainty surrounding MSNBC.

These are the moves you make when you’re quietly negotiating to move your show over to Fox News network.
I missed Mika Brzezinski's very bizarre on air apology for a comment David Frum made on air about Pete Hegseth's drinking. You can watch it in this clip. And it's weird for reasons @joshtpm.bsky.social lays out in this post: talkingpointsmemo.com/edblog/whats...

Regarding UHC’s CEO assassination.

My mother’s health insurer threatened her boss with cancelling his company policy, demanded to see my mom’s time cards. Her boss had continued to pay her full-time wages & benefits while she was dealing with stage 4 terminal stomach cancer, & too sick to work.

What if we’re all stuck in the timeline where Joe Biden runs for his second term in 2028?
December 3, 2024 at 6:48 PM
Lots of chatter & questions this weekend about Biden giving Ukraine some nuclear weapon capabilities before his term ends.

Biden administration denials & Ukraine demurrals sound eerily similar to previous chatter of other now-authorized weapon systems in Ukraine.

High housing costs have been more than offset by relative declines in other categories of spending
How are you defining CoL here? Housing costs are most certainly not the lowest in history relative to income

Went to our LD meeting. They introduced our comms chair to talk glowingly about her email campaign.
Everyone cheers.

Then they talked glowingly about her texting campaign.
Hard, quiet stares. Someone in the audience coughed and shifted uneasily in his seat.

Not surprised you haven't heard about this very important part of US history since it was only recently added to the AP History curriculum. As we now all know, Ben Franklin was infamous for his many experiments with necromancy...
