This is why I’m pushing for a state escrow account that holds federal funds before sending them on to Washington. If Trump wants to steal our tax dollars that were legally appropriated by Congress, then we should just be paying ourselves.
“Minnesota, New York, California, Illinois and Colorado will be cut off from around $7 billion in funding for the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program, which provides cash assistance to households with children, according to two people familiar with the matter.”

Monstrously cruel.

Samuel Alito flew two flags used by insurrectionists.

Clarence Thomas' wife plotted to overturn the 2020 election.

Both justices refused to recuse themselves from SCOTUS cases related to the January 6th plot.

It's a stain on our nation that this has effectively been forgotten.

I would suggest not getting this subscription unless you want it FOREVER. They are unable to give me any information about this account to allow me to cancel it but charge me for it every month. #paramountplus

The most relevant piece of information here is the R which Senator Murkowski keeps next to her name. She and three other Senators could take full control of the government out of the hands of the organization she herself describes as using terror tactics.

Among the material devastation to everyday people, Senate Dems have now blown a hole in their ability to work with the House.

We had an agreed upon plan, House took immense risk, then Senate turned around midway and destroyed it w/ a fear-based, inexplicable abdication.

They own what happens next.

Chuck Schumer, the top Democrat in the Senate, just caved—again.

His support for the Republican CR plan isn’t leadership; it’s surrender. He’s not fighting for the American people. He’s propping up policies that will hurt us.

The only way to “track” who really cares, is if there is a caucus vote to throw out Shumer from the minority leadership position. They are in office, so they have their senate seat until the next term. But NOTHING says Shumer has to be the minority leader. And he is betraying this nation.

I'm voting NO on the Republican shutdown bill.

NO on handing Donald Trump and Elon Musk a blank check to spend your taxpayer money however they want.

NO on cutting funding that helps families put food on the table and crack down on wealthy tax cheats.

We need to push back.

Trump touted his admin's "Make America Healthy Again" agenda during yesterday's address.

What he didn't say is that the EPA plans to drop a lawsuit against a chemical manufacturer whose emissions fueled pollution and health problems in Louisiana's "Cancer Alley."

Hello?

The Biden administration had sued to force the Denka Performance Elastomer plant in Louisiana to reduce emissions of chloroprene, a likely carcinogen.

The bipartisan censure of Rep. Al Green, a Black disabled man, is further proof that intersecting ableism and racism is the foundation of our political establishment, and it confirms what more and more people are realizing: these parties are two sides of the same coin.
