The sheer volume of time and energy being spent by thousands of university-based researchers in *every* field right now to figure out if their funding will exist next month or next year, if their careers can even continue… just citing dollar values doesn’t do it justice, it is full-scale upheaval.

It can’t be an entitlement when it’s literally your money.

Get this racist idiot out of our government and put him on one of his “well built” rockets.
Elon Musk says he wants to “eliminate” programs like Social Security and Medicare: “Entitlements... That’s the big one to eliminate”

ABC News reported Marco Rubio has been acting as head of the National Archives for weeks. This is news to everyone at the National Archives, including, apparently, the current head of NARA:

The current Archivist of the United States held an all-hands this week in which she still seemed to be in charge, 404 Media has learned.

What fucking anti-Christian bias? It literally reads ‘In God We Trust’ on our money.

Christianity and all religions can kiss my fucking ass.

This is what revisionist history looks like, in real time. And this also is why it might appear that archaeologists and historians have to dig deep to discover the existence of powerful women and marginalized groups -- because their legacies are so often erased.

Actually call your reps now to try to prevent the EO from even happening
If and when the Dept of ED executive order comes, I want everyone to call their reps to complain about how it will ruin their economies.

Why focus on economies? Because they don’t care about the altruistic nature of education.

But they do care about the economic outlook of their districts/states.

Top Dem on the House Intel Committee Jim Himes says in a statement that he understands that the White House “insisted” on the CIA transmitting the list in an unclassified email
New via NYT — The CIA sent the White House an unclassified email listing all employees hired by the spy agency over the last two years to comply with an executive order to shrink the federal work force. One former agency officer called the reporting of names a “counterintelligence disaster.”

They have enough money and power to tell Trump & his orders to get fucked if they really believed in their diversity hiring plans.

It’s just an excuse to stop the performative act they’ve been putting on.

Dude’s own rockets explode pretty frequently. The self driving mechanism in his cars regularly causes crashes.

So yeah… I’m concerned about this and the danger it puts people in. Especially my person who flies regularly.

Every lawyer who signs their name to a brief or pleading arguing the president can cancel birthright citizenship by executive order should be disbarred. I'm dead serious.
In a disgraceful act betraying millions of their own residents, Iowa, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, North Dakota, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Utah, and Wyoming all write to oppose birthright citizenship.

Cis men truly need to understand the power of saying “that’s fucked up bro why would you say that” to another cis man
The responsibility for resisting and correcting this behavior shouldn’t fall solely on a specific gender. If you’re a man of conscience and you see another man mimicking Nick Fuentes, fuck him up on sight before the women even get a chance. I mean that.

As someone trained as a trade economist, it is my duty to share the 1929-1933 Kindleberger Spiral, showing the month-month decline in global trade due to the combined factors of the (global) Great Depression and retaliatory tariffs. Smooth Hawley is implemented mid-June 1930.

I guess he missed the history class where they went over why the FDIC was created.

Nothing big happened as a catalyst to its creation. Just widespread financial institution failures which amplified during the Great Depression. No biggie.
To continue this thread, note this WSJ piece from December that says Trump may abolish FDIC and instead have deposits insured by…the Treasury Dept. Meaning if there’s a run on the banks and you want your funds covered, you’ll need to go through Elon www.wsj.com/finance/regu...
