I just received the first copy of Copaganda! It will be sold anywhere books are sold. I try to explain the role of the media, the police, and academia in how we got to this authoritarian moment.

We've been doing this work for 30 years and are eager to pass on what we've experienced.

For example—try this analysis of how the last two successful general strikes in the US were organized:

You may not have a safe place to sleep or food to eat or even clean air to breathe, but in an emergency you can count on armed men defending property with deadly force
We aren’t able to post as much on here b/c it’s a crisis but please make sure to keep talking about Altadena

Cops & national guard standing around with their guns out. Black people targeted & stopped for attempting to view what’s happened to their homes

Please push back on the “looting” propaganda

This is NOT mutual aid.
It's government redistributing donations, which is fine. But most of the politicians promoting their names on these graphics voted to increase police funding and/or violently displace unhoused people every week. This is co-opting justice language.

Having done the work of finding out what a loss of a home truly means, I can reassure you while bodily safety is paramount - the loss of a home, memories, generational wealth, connection, ancestry are a huge part of what makes us feel whole and safe. This is a gigantic loss.

This is Los Angeles.

Capitalism is humanity making war on itself in slow motion. The climate crisis is just one aspect of this catastrophe.

No solutions will come from corporations or politicians. We have to take action to defend each other and address the root causes.
