America's favorite Kyle Orton inspired podcast.
The Shedeur cope is insane. "He's being sabotaged they got him w fourth stringers!" Yeah playing against fourth stringers bc he is in fact the fourth stringer

I don't know that I've ever been more maddeningly frustrated by a QBs tape than Anthony Richardson. It is all there, everything you want, but it's so infrequent and so fucking ugly when it's not I really can't make myself believe he can cross that gap but I can't give up on him fully either

Even though it openly borrows some of the iconography and the theme I enjoyed that Superman was the first Superman movie since Superman 1978 that didn't feel like it was just a sequel or a remake of it.

Hey nerds I really liked the superman movie.

When I see Bears fans actively rooting for Rodgers to Minnesota like the ecosystem that won 14 games w Darnold couldn't resurrect that guy:

@schumer.senate.gov has always been a spineless, accommodating weasel. Don't give these fascists a fucking inch.
BREAKING: @schumer.senate.gov is whipping Ds to vote for the Trump-Musk coup continuing resolution.

Sacks aren't very useful indicators anyway. But yes the worse the unit the harder for any one player to rack up stats
How much of the performance of individual d-line players has to be understood in terms of the unit as a whole (and I suppose scheme)? I see a lot of people panning this signing with "3 sacks last year, he sucks" but I know that's not analysis
March 10, 2025 at 8:14 PM
I'd still expect the Bears to go tackle or edge at 10 even if Jeanty would be fun and acceptable at this point

Seeing the Packers and Patriots spend stupid money in FA after years of their beat writers bragging about how much smarter they were than every other team for sitting out FA every year is great. Everyone looks like a genius and is less desperate when they have a HOF QB in hand
The Packers overspending on a mediocre guard does not feel very Packers-y

I've been on here for a couple years technically I've just been on an extended social media break in general
I was wondering when you'd make it over here

"That might be an overpay for Jarrett at this age"
March 10, 2025 at 7:37 PM
Well. Damn. Okay.
The Bears aren't done on the defensive line. Per Schefter, they're signing DT Grady Jarrett. He had 9 TFL, 12 QB hits last season. The Bears' interior D-line:
Grady Jarrett
Gervon Dexter
Andrew Billings

Haven't watched a lot of Dayo, my take is just that contract is reasonable in this market and he's a young versatile player and Dennis Allen has the benefit of the doubt when it comes to molding his defenses
March 10, 2025 at 7:29 PM
I am surprised but happy for the guy. Glad he gets one more fair shot to get all the reps and sink or swim
🚨 🚨 🚨

The Jets are signing QB Justin Fields, per me and
@tompelissero.bsky.social, as Gang Green gets a new starter. Fields says goodbye to Pittsburgh after 1 year.

He gets a 2-year deal worth $40M with $30M guaranteed.

The 2022 off-season was one of the stupidest times in Bears Twitter history and buddy I've lived (and been attacked) through them all
But did you know he was a former offensive lineman, and therefore understands the importance of building up front?
March 10, 2025 at 6:05 PM
They* don't call him Rad Brad the Contract Cowboy for no reason

*I called him that one time in a DM and he was lukewarm on it at best
they needed brad spielberger
You know what were absolutely useless this year?

PFF contract projections. Just straight 🚮

It is his fourth off-season. We're definitely in "better late than never" territory on here
“It takes a few years to rebuild an offensive line.”

Ryan Poles:
March 10, 2025 at 5:27 PM
I think it very much depends on his health. He's an above average tackle when he's on the field but that's two seasons marred by injury now and if you want to just be Good vs Great you should also be durable
I can't tell if the Bears like Braxton or not. I read they want "competition" for him and I don't know if that's just a negotiating ploy or if they really want to move on from him
March 10, 2025 at 5:14 PM
Poles should extend Braxton Jones yesterday. Even if you draft a tackle the cost certainty would only make Braxton more attractive to trade partners
Rap: LT Dan Moore to sign a 4-year, $82M deal with the Titans. $50 guaranteed.
March 10, 2025 at 5:03 PM
Don't disagree but the primary need is to enable a Caleb Williams year two leap (which I still have full faith in) and its good to see the Bears understand the assignment for once in our goddamn lives
We need a lot of DE/DT and one of them must be a game wrecker
March 10, 2025 at 4:51 PM
Yeah everyone knows trying to build through FA is bad the point is to have blue chippers on rookie deals to hide the overpaid FAs. The Bears hope they have that now in Caleb, Rome, Darnell etc
I hate to sound like a meatball, but what's the point of having cap space if not to move starting positions from "crap" to "not crap". And center has been crap in Chicago for ages. Also, Dalman is fine at pass blocking and elite at OZ blocking -- which is about as good as what hits FA anyway.
