A 🐚 is the perfect gift for a crush, but stealing from the sea has consequences. As it stirs, John is swept into danger—and a truth he’s always avoided: maybe he doesn’t really *want* to be a boyfriend.

Maybe he doesn’t want to be a boy at all.

Remember: If we allow ourselves to fall into fatalism, or wallow in disappointment, or become resigned to what is rather than what should be, we will lose the long game.

The greatest enemy of positive social change is cynicism about what can be changed.

This has always been the GOP's strategy:

1) Cut taxes for the wealthy & corporations by claiming they'll pay for themselves.

2) Explode the deficit.

3) Demand cuts to programs that millions of people rely on.

4) Repeat.

Don't let them get away with it.

I like how the bloodsoaked traumatic schism of land and people that is still a lingering wound in our collective historical and cultural psyche over on the subcontinent was euphemized as "relocate" by some WSJ dipshit.

If you Google "mutual genocide", an article on partition comes up.

When Trump took office, the NLRB had 24 separate investigations into Musk’s corporations for violating workers’ rights.

But presto...Trump fired three officials at that agency, effectively stalling the board's ability to rule on cases.

See how this works?

Sex scenes should be more hilarious.

You get disoriented reach for a wall that isn’t there and fall into a closet (true story) or while making out a loud dog food commercial starts playing and you scream “Ah, puppies!” In a terrified voice (also true story).

Spice with a squeeze of lemon please.

Never forget that Trump was the culmination of 40 years of stagnant wages, widening inequality, corruption, dog-whistle politics, and economic gains for the rich.

If we fail to address this, we should expect future Trumps as far as the eye can see.

I’ve been in or around politics for over a half-century now. I’ve watched as corporations ransacked our system. In 1952, the corporate share of federal tax revenue was 32%. In 2020, it was down to 7%. Here’s how we break the corporate oligarchy and return power to the people. It's devilishly hard to conduct business as usual right now, but also really fucking important when you realize that if you don't, its highly likely that nobody else will.
Thinking that carving out time to publish the New & Upcoming Black Transfemme Novels article is more important now than ever tbh.
