It's not just laws about books that are breaking libraries. Several states have passed property tax reforms–or are in the process of passing them–that are dismantling, destroying, and defunding these public institutions of democracy.

I often tell students working on their first comic scripts to try a short story with characters and/or settings they already know well; that's what I did with "Me and Edith Head," the story @stevelieberart.bsky.social discusses in this thread.
