I worry that the dearth of humanities tenure track jobs is resulting in early career phds taking pro-AI stances against their own values - and at odds with much of the work we do in general - in hopes they can stake out some ‘valuable’ position as an emerging scholar in the field

What are your favorite books, films, paintings, songs, plays, zines or comics, any pieces of art that feel like they weren’t made by humans? That are so full of great mystery and strangeness that you had to check to make sure they had an earthly provenance?
