The notion that it’s “liberal orthodoxy” to shun a serial sexual harasser is, frankly, Trumpian.
To those of you who are pointing out policy failures of Cuomo, thanks. To those of you just attacking me for challenging the liberal orthodoxy remember this: while you’re shutting down dissent, the other side is shutting down democracy. Get with the program.

The last time we lost a child to measles in this country was 2003. My heart goes out to all the families affected by the ongoing outbreak.

This terrible disease making a comeback is NOT normal. We need and deserve leaders who understand the urgency of this moment.
Q: A young child just died of measles in Texas. Do you have a comment?

RFK Jr.: It's not unusual. We have measles outbreaks all the time

(This is the first Measles death in the US in 10 years)

Using the bully pulpit doesn’t actually mean being a bully.

This is a totally unreasonable way to conduct diplomacy, and a disgraceful way to treat an ally. We should all be standing with Ukraine as they continue their fight on the front line of democracy.

Please join if you can. We need to show that many people oppose these destructive attacks on science and healthcare.

The Washpost, which is bleeding millions of dollars and shrinking its staff, accepted -- and then rejected -- a $115,000 ad that criticized Elon Musk.

Anyway, here's the ad that the Post's business side didn't want its readers to see ⤵️

How much a senior on Social Security gets a day: $65

Guess which budget Musk and Trump want to cut?

This seems really significant. The Judge will want to know how the error occurred and who fed the lawyers inaccurate information. Government lawyers are trained to make sure their representations to the court on material matters are truthful and accurate. Judge Kelley is unlikely to be pleased.
👀 DOJ acknowledges making two significant errors during a court hearing last week on efforts to dismantle USAID

1) It said only 500 employees had been placed on leave. Actual number was 2,140.

2) Said only future contracts were stopped. Existing contracts were also stopped.

This
I'm sorry but this take is steeped in binary white supremacy culture thinking.

Joy still matters.
Love still matters.
Rest still matters.
And yes of course action matters.

But leading with any framing that ignores all else will lead to trauma, burnout & loss of the people we need to take action.
All that matters anymore is action.

Executive wants to frame the NIH indirects cut as $4B in savings.

But given that NIH returns $2.5 on every $1 investment, this would actually cost US economy a net $6 BILLION (per year!). Not to mention the human costs of wrecking education and research sectors and the communities they serve.
Direct Economic Contributions
NIH directly supports the economy through investments in research institutions and job formation.
