It's hard to overstate what a disaster Kash Patel is. See the many disturbing details here, from @vermontgmg.bsky.social, an expert on the FBI. "The longer this chaos continues," he writes, "the more likely we’re going to face a catastrophic intelligence failure." www.motherjones.com/politics/202...
Kash Patel, the FBI's agent of chaos
The biggest little scandal in Washington right now is how bad Patel is at being FBI director.

I was only 16 when I arrived in Britain, but the Home Office decided I was 26. It left me homeless and afraid for years.

This appears to be undergirded by philosophies like:

* letting your anger fester inside you is certainly better for the country
* you can’t express what you want, because then people might get mad and think they could have good things
* the only solution is to choose from two sets of overlords

“You can’t be mad at Democrats for not fighting because they’re the only thing we have to fight fascism” is an interesting political philosophy that I would like to unpack, not in the sense of giving it further examination, but in the sense of throwing it out the back window.

This is what happens when you elect people who think the government should be run like a business. They'll run it into the ground if they stand to profit from it at the consumer's expense.

50-year mortgages.
15-year car loans.
Disappearing rural healthcare.
The only fully-funded initiatives in federal government are CBP and ICE related.

MAGA?
They voted for this.
Don’t let them tell you different.

I am on my way home to Toronto and the aurorae are absolutely phenomenal.

If you are anywhere in the northern half of the continent, get outside and look up! Or better still, put your camera on a 10 second exposure and point it up.

One day you'll be like "oh [thing] looks fun but people will think I'm a loser" about a thing

And then you'll say. Wait a second.

Highland cattle are famous for their ability to "disco nap". Normally these brief, efficient sleeps will last between three and twenty minutes, deploying a variety of objects as pillows, including moorland boulders, cars or any particularly large dog or sheep who happens to be nearby.

Hey, a lot of people are talking about changing affiliation from Democratic to Independent.

Let me tell you why you shouldn’t do that in Colorado.

One of the main ways to get a primary challenge candidate on a ballot is to caucus for your party. You need to be registered as a Dem to caucus.
