Liberals who opine about what we can and cannot say in fear of scaring off “the moderates” are talking about themselves. They hide behind “the moderates” because they realize their view is shameful.

YOU don’t want to abolish ICE. Just say it, stop hiding behind made-up electability fears.

Bidens job as President was first and foremost to protect the United States of America from enemies foreign and domestic and he fumbled the bag like none other before him. You could say, ultimately, he is the sole reason we are here. He was the only person who had the immense power to stop it.
SEOUL, Jan 13 (Reuters) - South Korea's special prosecutor on Tuesday requested the death penalty for former president Yoon Suk Yeol on charges of insurrection over his brief imposition of martial law in December 2024.

People don't want to accept that the primary reason that we have Trump today is that the previous administration completely failed. It should have never gotten to the point where it was in the so-called hands of the voters. It was already too late by then.

Maybe I’m having a bad read here, but resigning instead of refusing is likely what the administration wants.

Won’t they just be replaced by more loyalists? I understand there’s not a great answer, but sticking around to muck up the gears seems preferable.
Six federal prosecutors in Minnesota resigned over the Justice Department’s push to investigate the widow of Renee Good, the woman killed by an ICE agent, and the department’s reluctance to investigate the shooter, according those with knowledge of their decision. nyti.ms/4qUl36Z

Wow — New YouGov / Economist poll:

46% support abolishing ICE
43% oppose abolishing ICE

This is the first time that abolishing ICE has received net positive support

I wouldn’t say I dislike Jamelle Bouie, he’s got some solid takes on a lot of issues. Even if they’re a bit libbed up at times.

But his reply guys are all people who consider him “the smartest liberal I know.” They can’t fathom somebody disagreeing with him. Shocking number of zionists as well.

Every time some centrist wants to yell at me about appealing to moderates, they end up being a genocidal freak that thinks genocide is funny.

It’s important to make Republicans feel bad about who they are and what they support.

I’ve found, particularly among young Right Wingers, that embarrassment is a strong motivator politically. It’s cringe to support ICE bro, stop being a weirdo. Walz message was working before they neutered him.

FOX: Where’s the protest against the regime that's killing people in the street right now?

Trent: They are doing those today. It’s called the ICE protests

FOX: Are they talking about Iran at the ICE protests?

Trent: No, I think they are talking about the regime that is shooting people in the face

We’ve long moved past the need for guys like this
Continue to think that saying “abolish ICE” without explaining how you’ll enforce the law is a trap, but boosting this
"YouGov has ICE at 39% favorable, 52% unfavorable...But this top line really understates the intensity of public backlash to ICE and its tactics. In February 2025, just 19% of Americans held a strongly unfavorable view of ICE. Today, 40% do."

it's so weird that there are still people who defend chuck schumer on here

so many "we don't have any power, what do you expect him to do" and "we've tried absolutely nothing strategically unique and are all out of ideas" type of folks who seem extremely happy to wallow in powerlessness

the “thanksgiving food is bad” discourse raises its ugly head every year, but the truth remains that thanksgiving food can be amazing as long as you know how to cook. the problem is we’re throwing a few million sunday drivers directly into a grand prix
I think this is unfair to turkey. turkey is good but hard to cook well because it is so damn big. turkey *parts* are great but lack the esthetic appeal of a centerpiece bird.
