A lot of music is just pretty and fun. It gets you tapping your feet and maybe improves your mood. Some music picks you up in its teeth and shakes you like an angry grizzly until you are feeling what the artist wanted you to feel.

I used to get together with some expat friends for a Thanksgiving together every year but after my divorce I stopped getting invited. No bid deal though I just started my own Thanksgiving and when my kid went vegetarian we introduced extra veggie sides.

My ex's mother liked to keep Great Danes. Wonderful dogs but they die young and need a lot of care which she absolutely refused to give them. For her they were just status symbols that she liked to have in family photos. I think of them whenever I see Trump and Baron in a picture together.

I was just reminded of transferring to a new high school at 18 and joining the RPG group mid-campaign. They were playing Top Secret, which is like D&D but for modern spies and non-cooperative. They handed me a generic 007-type character and were shocked when I started murdering the other players.

The chilling thing about this is that by the current SCOTUS reading of the Constitution, she is right. If the President has immunity for what he does while in office, then the orders he issues are all Constitutional. There is no such thing as an unlawful order anymore if it comes from the President.
