The person behind this account does not seem to actually have any sort of vested interest in the US or in immigration. But they are nonetheless spamming horrific videos because the Facebook algorithm is rewarding them for that type of content, and because Facebook directly makes payments for it.
AI-Generated Videos of ICE Raids Are Wildly Viral on Facebook
An account is spamming horrific, dehumanizing videos of immigration enforcement because the Facebook algorithm is rewarding them for it.

the new 'some more news' vid on miIIer is pretty good, here's a clip highlighting an ALF ad about "discriminatory covid relief" that was new to me because I'm not 80 years old listening to AM radio in the runup to the 2024 election

interesting that they're allowing him to go on air so often these days even though they know they have to watch him like a hawk

the gaslight angle shows up in the part of this story I didn’t tell here

they apparently kept eating the edamame like sugar peas even though the pods tasted like ass and people at the table were splitting it open, “because the google answer must have been right”
this too! i had a disorienting experience recently where a person my age talked about relying on the google AI answer to determine that edamame was indeed to be eaten like sugar peas (it’s very not) and they were surprised when I uh, laughed (sorry!) and asked why in gods name they trusted the AI
it's jolting how little AI skepticism has reached the general public. i've had many acquaintances ask whether i use AI for research and seem shocked when i tell them it's completely useless for that purpose. my wife recently told her colleagues about hallucinations and it was news to all of them.

a good bit in 2025 politics is to tell the public to read legislation. since you know many people will focus on one or two words as they're time constrained and/or functionally illiterate you also get the benefit of them feeling enraged by the opposition who say they can't read.

I am looking to chat with people who have been disparagingly featured in Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt’s content.

I would like to see how this affected you, especially if you can provide ample receipts and clear timelines. Please signal boost this anywhere you’d like, as I’m not on Twitter anymore.

youtube is applying post-processing to all shorts so they look more like Al. this is intentional & malicious.

when their generative Al shorts feature launches users will be less likely to discern what's Al-slop and what's not, and the audience will think Al video is just as good

“People generally don’t care how their entertainment is created,” he said. “They just want to be entertained.”

This is how art dies.

people complain about literacy rates being abysmal & yeah true, but often it's grandstanding about people not reading books. the real impact is a distressing portion of us can not comprehend -anything- without a caption/streamer/musical cue telling us how to feel about it first.
