I must confirm that What I Am is *not* What I Am, whether you're what you are, or not.
I must confirm that I am not the one and only.
I must confirm that I am *not* I said.

AI is already running out of jobs to destroy, so it's having to create them first...
Meta *literally just* fired 3600 people earlier this year so they could "focus on AI," and now they're firing *600* of their "AI" people? That does Not sound like a company that knows what the fuck it's doing.

I've said variants of this so many times in the past.

Having a car is a bit like having a gun; the whole point is that the other guy DOESN'T have one.
"Unlike the vacuum cleaner, the radio, or the bicycle, which retain their use value when everyone has one, the car... is only desirable and useful insofar as the masses don’t have one."
I reread this every so often and I'm struck every time by how great it is unevenearth.org/2018/08/the-...

Christ, they are so utterly lost.

It's like they went to a Halloween party as the Tories, then found they couldn't unzip the costumes.
A real post from the Labour Party Facebook page.

The replies are all people going "didn't you say 'island of strangers'?" or "you hate our flag". So it's still going fantastically well for the party of Change.

My timeline is choked with exhortations to spend £34 on 8 boxes of breakfast cereal - BREAKFAST CEREAL - and the main selling point appears to be "We USED to charge £71 for 8 boxes of breakfast cereal!!!"

I'm not 100% blameless myself, but the hipster economy is going rapidly insane.

By 2010, there was nostalgia for how the early internet had worked.

In 2024, there are now social media memes evoking nostalgic recall of... previous social media memes.

@ospreysofficial.bsky.social with a 1st half bonus point, which is about as much as I'd hoped for from the whole trip. Might as well enjoy themselves in the traditionally punishing Pretoria 2nd half.
