A bit late to this, but I made a list of all the movies I watched while doing #100HorrorMoviesin92Days and wrote a little bit about my experience.

I keep seeing people saying they’re getting back into reading which I love! If you have a library card, don’t forget to check out Libby, and Hoopla. If you’re into romance or thrillers Hoopla might be a good resource for you because unlike Libby you don’t have to wait for holds.

I’m getting so tired of looking at celebrities. I don’t want to see your skeleton or your uncanny and unrecognizable faces!!

So like, 3/4 of this movie looks like it was made from screensavers and also features, in my opinion, one of the worst wigs in film history.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What’s YOUR #LastFourWatched?

I accidentally did an Albert Brooks double feature yesterday, picked a random movie and realized it was a Joel Coen film about two seconds in, and started the week with Die My Love which I really enjoyed.

Happy #LetterboxdFriday! What's YOUR #LastFourWatched?

I fell for a Nic Cage caper flick, swung into a grandly comedic adaptation that means something to me, battled on with one of 2025's greatest cinematic visions, and set sail for adventure with my fave 1990 film (sorry, Goodfellas).

Every year I teach first and second year students about Island Trees School District vs Pico, and every year they are shocked to find out that they aren’t actually entitled to First Amendment protections when it comes to the right to access information in libraries.
the supreme court might decide if libraries can pull books just because officials don’t like them. totally normal, right? one ruling could rewrite public libraries nationwide.

how are we still arguing about basic rights in 2025?

On account of it being peppermint season, most coffee places probably have something similar to this right now, soooo
Beginning Monday, a Frozen Peppermint Hot Chocolate drink will be available exclusively at Starbucks cafés inside Target stores.

The chains are hoping the drink can drum up excitement from customers this holiday season.

Does anyone who makes their own lattes at home have recommendations on how to make a good mocha? Do you use syrup? Make your own? Melt chocolate? I feel like mine never taste right.

I have a lot of respect for Coates and his ability to examine and challenge himself and his worldview. It’s unsurprising these weirdos hate him.

Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

I started reading Flesh by David Szalay last week, and I’m about halfway through. It just won the Booker Prize so I’ve seen what I think is the UK cover in a lot of articles about it, and I gotta say, I like the cover of the one I’m reading a lot better.
