Does anyone who makes their own lattes at home have recommendations on how to make a good mocha? Do you use syrup? Make your own? Melt chocolate? I feel like mine never taste right.

Michael Wolff, Steve Bannon and Jeffrey Epstein taking time out of their day covering up the world's most famous pedophile ring to complain about Ta-Nehesi Coates.

I have a lot of respect for Coates and his ability to examine and challenge himself and his worldview. It’s unsurprising these weirdos hate him.
Hey so “underage girls” are…children. The word you’re looking for is children. They’re not like, women-in-waiting or women-lite or whatever. They’re children. I think some of you are very uncomfortable with what that means for you but it is still true.

every tiny crumb that leaks out is a career ending bombshell and we’re all just supposed to go on with our lives while our elected representatives shrug and tell us there’s nothing to be done about the president’s involvement in a child sex trafficking operation
A direct email exchange from 2011 between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, just released by House Oversight Committee Democrats.

I started reading Flesh by David Szalay last week, and I’m about halfway through. It just won the Booker Prize so I’ve seen what I think is the UK cover in a lot of articles about it, and I gotta say, I like the cover of the one I’m reading a lot better.

Love having no confidence whatsoever in my elected officials to actually represent me and everybody else they’re supposed to represent. Bang-up job everyone, real great work all around, this feeling of powerlessness is just the tops

Thinking about the last episode of 911 and how the first time they had Eddie discover a case of child abuse, he got shot and made Buck Chris’ legal guardian. This time Abuela dies (after telling him to find God in love!!!) and I can only imagine this leads to Buddie canon.

I made it a point this year to watch a lot of older movies I’ve never seen before so this is really hard 😅 But I loved Alfred Hitchcock’s Rope enough to add it to my Letterboxd top four so I guess I’ll go with that. The suspense I felt watching it was unmatched.
What is the best movie not from this year that you’ve seen this year? Bonus points if you say why

I’m a sucker for a limited series thriller. I started watching All Her Fault on Peacock and it starts VERY similarly to another show that came out this year. Mom thinks she’s picking up her kid from a play date only to find out kid has been kidnapped. But I can’t remember the name of the other one!

discussed finances with my husband, and decided we’d be in a good place financially by summer and then had to be like “unless we lose our jobs, or the economy tanks, or our health insurance premiums go up 300%”
And I just think we shouldn’t have to worry about our government causing those things!

I don’t go to Starbucks anymore 1. Because of the boycott and 2. Because of the way they treat unions/their employees. But as someone who does really like their cups, I just want to say, wait a few years and those teddy bear cups will start showing up in your local thrift stores.

I watched Clearcut (1991) today, and I’m so glad that I did. It’s such a great expression of the type of anger that often makes people uncomfortable. The kind society has conditioned us to believe it’s wrong to express.
