A majority of U.S. adults (59%) say they don’t want to get an updated COVID-19 vaccine. This is roughly identical to the share who said in October 2024 that they probably wouldn’t get the updated vaccine.

Poverty is a policy choice. Concentrated wealth is a policy choice. Inequality is a policy choice. None of it is natural or inevitable. Remember: We have the power to build a system that serves the many, not the powerful few.

The woman in this story asked for an abortion to protect her health during the first trimester. If not for Dobbs, that choice would have been hers. Instead, she got increasingly sick for another 2 months, and then died.
NEW:

In 2024, Tierra Walker was sick and getting sicker. She was also pregnant.

She knew abortion was illegal in Texas, but thought there was an exception for women like her, whose health was at risk. Doctors told her there was no emergency.

Then she died.

First, Pluribus has been fantastic so far. Don't want to speak too soon, but it appears Vince cannot miss.

Second, I love discovering great music from television. Shazamed the jazz piece from episode 3 immediately. Cogito by Akusmi. . . so good!

Devastating piece on the human toll of Kavanaugh Stops.

Especially infuriating to know that rich white guys like Brett K can simply close their eyes to the human suffering their racist jurisprudence has unleashed.
For two months, the U.S. government has been racial profiling as masked federal agents hunted for immigrants throughout Chicago. They’ve repeatedly snatched up U.S. citizens while traumatizing communities. “I felt like a piece of trash.” Here is our story www.chicagotribune.com/2025/11/15/l...

the sooner people internalize this about the dems, stop projecting their fantasies on the party, and start demanding more, the better off we’ll all be.
they spent 4 years studiously avoiding confrontations with the supreme court because they have no interest in court reform. they’re quiet about ICE because they do not want to a single thing about it when they have power. it’s a shitty reality to confront but it is the reality.

In reality, Catholic hospitals make up as much 46% of options in some states. This map is 2020, prior to Trump’s assault on safety net hospitals.

Pretend drug traffickers are terrorists (they’re not).

Pretend overdoses are armed foreign attacks (they’re not).

Pretend “the president says so” means Congress has no role (it doesn’t).

Voila, legal. When factual reality is irrelevant, any law can apply.
