The 👏🏿 System 👏🏿 Isn’t 👏🏿 Broken 👏🏿 It’s 👏🏿 Working 👏🏿 Exactly 👏🏿 How 👏🏿 It’s 👏🏿 Intended 👏🏿 To 👏🏿 Work 👏🏿

Time 👏🏿 For 👏🏿 A 👏🏿 New 👏🏿 System 👏🏿

Working people aren’t out here demanding luxury. We’re demanding basics: a roof overhead, healthcare we can actually count on, the ability to care for our families, and a little breathing room for joy. If that’s “asking too much,” then the system is the problem.

Merry Christmas to everyone celebrating. Extra love to the workers on shift today, keeping hospitals running, flights moving, streets clean, meals served. We see you. We’ve got you. Solidarity isn’t a slogan, it’s how we take care of each other. 🎄✊🏿

I just know some billionaire is gifting his kids 30k worth of frivolous gifts while his workers struggle to put something beneath their trees.

When are the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future going to visit Elon Musk y’all?

We are ALL waiting.

Reminder that we are NOT crossing the Starbucks picket line this holiday season- and I'm looking at you last minute gift buyers, NO STARBUCKS GIFTCARDS!

Folks love to say “the market will sort it out.” The market already sorted it: billionaires got richer, workers got eviction notices. Unions are how we sort it differently.

Here’s what happens when you strip minimum wage + overtime from home care: people quit, families lose care, the whole system cracks.
This country needs more caregivers, not more loopholes.

Four Republicans had to join Democrats to FORCE a vote to keep Obamacare premium tax credits alive. That tells you everything.
Working families can’t afford another “oops, your premiums tripled” moment. Vote YES and do it now.

It’s time to make noise, family. Our voices, our stories, our truths, they need to be heard everywhere. We’ve got power in numbers and we’ll flood these spaces with the truth. Let’s go!

I think it’s wild that there are still people out there who think the United States can’t afford healthcare for its people while 80 other countries can.
It’s not a money problem; it’s a priority problem.

A study released earlier this year showed that 60% of Americans can’t afford a minimal quality of life.

On another… unrelated… note, corporations are hitting record profits every single month.

22 million people use ACA tax credits to keep coverage affordable. The Senate just let two bills fail. Now families are staring down an average $1,016 more per year.

With ACA subsidies set to lapse, millions of Americans face a painful spike in health plan costs
"I don't know how I'm going to pay for this," said one person with an Affordable Care Act plan that will cost her $1,100 a month starting in January.

Minnesota family: our Somali sisters, brothers, and siblings are being targeted because they’re building real power and bringing folks together. We’re not letting ICE or DHS pick us off one by one. An injury to one is an injury to all. #GreaterThanFear

Federal workers didn’t back down when their rights were stripped, they organized.
They built a working majority in the House and passed the Protect America’s Workforce Act.
Now the Senate must finish the job and restore federal workers’ rights. ✊🏿

If you’ve ever gone home sore, underpaid, and disrespected, you are not alone. You are the majority. And when the majority unionizes, things change.

Home care workers keep families going. In Michigan, care workers just won their union and now they can bargain for higher wages, healthcare, training, and retirement. When caregivers have support, EVERYONE gets better care.

Baristas make Starbucks run. For a month they’ve been on the picket line for better pay, fair hours, and an end to union busting. Now it is time for Starbucks to pay them what they are owed and get this damn contract done. Let’s go get it. ☕✊🏿 #UnionsForAll #NoContractNoCoffee
