I wonder if “woke” is the way that lazy opportunist selfish right wing pricks personify their own almost-silenced inner voice of self examination? Does it mean “conscience”, and they’ve externalised it, made it a villain, othered it? A Jiminy Cricket for the 21st Century narc baby.
It must be amazing having the sort of persecution complex the reactionary right has. You can win power, destroy the lives of minorities, get paid vast amounts for stand-up specials on major streamers and STILL claim you're under attack from woke. It must feel fantastic!
