Dysfunction of the cerebral microvasculature can lead to endothelial dysfunction, impaired neurovascular coupling, and blood-brain barrier disruption.

These factors collectively contribute to the neurocognitive impairments observed in Long COVID patients.

410 million people globally have long COVID. Half of people with long COVID also meet the diagnostic criteria for ME. Both disable people. Time for health authorities to stop pretending COVID is no big deal.
