CBC News highlighted the rematriation of two Thunderbird eggs from #WesternU to Kettle and Stony Point First Nation. The large stone spheres, also known as kettles, hold cultural significance to the Anishinaabek and were returned to their home on the shores of Lake Huron last week.

In 1992, Dr. Peter Howitt co-published a paper on “creative destruction” while working at @westernu.ca. In 2025, that paper helped him win the Nobel Prize in Economics.

#WesternU engineers have designed and developed a first-of-its-kind energy-efficient home system.

They combined the power of photovoltaics (PV) with a heat pump and thermal battery to create a fully electrified – and highly energy-efficient – house. 🏡

The University Dr bridge on #WesternU’s campus will be closed to vehicles from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 6. A rain date is set for Friday, Nov. 7.
