Remembrance Day was established after the First World War to honour those who died in service. In 1993, the Manitoba government introduced a statement recognizing Nov 8 as Aboriginal Veterans Day - now observed as Indigenous Veterans Day - to honour First Nations, Métis and Inuit veterans.

Join us for Western’s Remembrance Day ceremony, hosted by the Western USC, on Tuesday, November 11, from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. in the McKellar Room (second floor, UCC). Students, faculty, staff and members of the public are welcome to attend.
