Elon Musk pushed out the FAA chief — who resigned 1 year into a 5 year term, last week.

Why? Because last year the FAA fined SpaceX $600,000 — for safety violations.

Now the FAA has no chief — and we just had the first commercial airline crash in 16 years.

March 7, 1965 it was a crisp 41 degrees as John Lewis marched peacefully, with head high and shoulders back, across the Edmund Pettus Bridge in Selma, AL. Knowing what was waiting on the other side John Lewis did what was right. I hope, if tested, I have this kind of bravery.

Most local libraries can help with government paperwork too. My mom was the city business librarian and she helped countless small businesses do demographic research, get registered, and connected to the city small business council. All for free. Check out your library! Talk to a librarian!
As an author, I love libraries & librarians. As a reader, parent & community member, I love libraries. An annual reminder that a library can prob get you access to e-books (Libby), movies & tv (often via Hoopla). AND many have useful tools etc to check out/use. They are simply great. support them 💚📗
I have always loved public libraries, but having young children has exponentially increased my gratitude and sense of indebtedness to them. Our local library is such a huge part of our lives. The books, the programming, the very intentionally curated kids’ section. It’s all such a gift.

NEWSWEEK: “Of the more than three million people who have indicated that they will participate in Obamacare in 2025, 82 percent of these people live in states which voted for Trump…”
Vast majority of Obamacare applications from Trump-voting states
The figure suggests that Trump will struggle to make any significant changes to the program without alienating his supporters.

The birthright citizenship portion of the US Constitution is totally, inarguably unambiguous. No wiggle room. If the supreme court agrees to throw it out they are explicitly throwing out the entire document and our entire system of government.

If this is what it looks like Kennedy got promised a powerful office and a straight up bribe to drop out.

There’s often some horse trading in elections, but paying your opponents to clear the way for you is deeply corrupt.
The Trump campaign disbursed $100,000 to a California law firm that lists Kennedy as one of its attorneys three weeks after he bowed out of the race and backed Trump — the only payment they made to the form during the 23-24 election cycle.

Just a reminder to support your local public libraries! Write letters of support. Use the library often & in many different ways. Show up to meetings.

Library staff have been begging for help, advocacy, and action for years. Please show up for libraries.
