Anyway, my fellow arctic-winter inhabitants, this is your daily reminder to:

- Take your vitamin D
- Take your cod liver oil
- Use your artificial sunlight
- Check your storm proofing
- Plug your engine warmer in
- Meditate on your life choices/why the hell you didn't live literally anywhere else

So to get the two votes, rather than re-draft a no bill in the Comey case and present the new indictment to the grand jury, Halligan had the foreperson sign the new charges while a second grand juror WATCHED? Did Halligan just cuck justice?

Home insurance is in crisis, and Big Oil's lies are to blame.

"We’re never going to bend the curve of ever-rising insurance costs without addressing the core driver of higher prices: the worsening climate disasters that Big Oil knowingly made a reality," explains CCI's @iylas.bsky.social.

“…the citizenry(of the United States)has never directly experienced any political system other than democracy, which makes us slow to recognize that ours, like any other democracy, will break if pushed too far.”
Privileged to share a guest post today by a US veteran and intelligence analyst on the echoes they see between the regimes they used to monitor and today’s US.

They asked to remain anonymous - itself a sign of how worrying things have become in America.

Meiselas this past Monday: Halligan says the grand jury rejected the 3-count indictment, so she brought back a 2-count version they supposedly approved, but that part is missing from the transcript. Judge Currie warned the grand jury may never have seen it. If true, that’s criminal.

Medicare for All would save $450B a year.

Every dollar spent on food stamps generates $1.50-$1.80 in economic activity.

Each dollar going to low-wage workers adds $1.20 to the economy overall.

It’s not about what this country can or can’t afford.

It’s about priorities.

Mike Johnson said he voted for the Jeffrey Epstein disclosure bill based on his hope that the Senate would make changes he’s been demanding. John Thune shot that down, saying he decided the legislation was “sufficient.”

Mere hours later, the Senate approved the legislation by unanimous consent.
Thune denies Johnson’s demand for Epstein bill changes

There are only 35 or 40 House seats that we can already expect to be at least somewhat competitive next year.

But what we learned from the elections at the start of this month was that there are another 15 or more seats, all currently GOP-held, that now have to be considered in play next November.

“Quiet, piggy”

“Quiet” commands her to stay silent, revealing his gendered expectation and worldview of women.

“Pig” shames her body or character, while “piggy” infantilizes her—casting her as a child beneath and subservient to him.

Spoken publicly, on record, and with uncontrolled rage.
