Democrats, plural, do not know how to capitalise on this algorithm-based era.

One Democrat did, and his strategy was what I call

'America The Beautiful':

Yes we can, to Justice and equality;
Yes we can to opportunity and prosperity.
Yes we can heal this nation;
Yes we can repair this world.
The internet has supercharged the radicalization process; what used to take years, now takes months.

And Republicans know exactly how to capitalize on this relatively new algorithm-based era. Democrats do not.

it's not treachery to help us fight fascism.

not for the first time in history, Canada is in many ways right now more loyal to US democracy than the US itself. 1
The @theatlantic.com claims that Canadians will use "treachery" to make America and its media look "silly".
No, we are a democratic people who hate thugs and their pusillanimous enablers.
Deal with it.

It recently occurred to me that the "everything as a service" business model has, in conjunction with many of those services becoming essential to modern life & the long-running failure of antitrust policy, transmuted those payments into effectively taxes.

Even if you don't want to pay, you have to

Americans will spend the next 20 years paying the price - a market of last resort for Trump's petrostate oligarch allies whose oil reserves would otherwise go stranded.
It's funny how us parochial Americans generally seem to perceive that the EV revolution is stalling or reversing when in fact it's accelerating rapidly worldwide. 25% of cars sold globally in 2025 were EVs!

It's mostly just the US that's being left behind

the best way to protect Jewish people from fascism in the US is to fight fascism in the US.

It is not to protect a violent fascist government in Israel.

The comments on this video on TikTok are so interesting to me because it is a lot of people saying that we can’t do this because what if Republicans try it to or what if Republicans reverse it. “We have to change the court the traditional way.”

No left wing person describes themselves as a “centrist” it’s used only by right wingers
Bari Weiss still having the temerity to call herself a "centrist" after openly acting as Trumpworld's highly-placed apparatchik & propagandist is exactly why they gave her the roles of highly-placed apparatchik & propagandist.

If FIFA had any respect for the game and the players and the fans or just human beings generally they’d opt to not hold any World Cup games whatsoever in the USA, but then they let Russia and Qatar have it… FIFA are FIFA, corrupt to the core.

charlie kirk's death has been memed to the point beyond actual humanizing and recognition, trump is at like a 30% total approval rate, probably going lower because of the Rob Reiner stuff, and plenty more i can't fit here

it is terrifying and awful that this passed the House with any Dem support at all (and once again, the continued leadership support for Cuellar is unconscionable)

call your senators and make absolutely sure this dies in the Senate, lives are on the line

trans people deserve so much better
Henry Cuellar, Don Davis, and Vicente Gonzalez joined Republicans in voting to criminalize trans health care.

The bill passed only 216 to 214.

4 Republicans voted no. If they did too, it would have failed.
