It can not be stated enough how much these goons are setting us back. Every sector of the US is objectively (with data to prove it) stagnating, decreasing or being actively and completely demolished.

That’s why conservatives are pouring millions intro trad-wife bullshit and birth control disinformation. They need young women to believe the erosion of their rights is a good thing, actually!

It’s not enough to oppress women—they want us ^grateful* for it. (We’re so much prettier when we smile.)

Why decline all these chances to defend feminism? Because to participate would be accepting the premise that our rights and humanity are up for debate in the first place.

Once you’ve conceded that it’s reasonable to ask whether women’s equality was a mistake, you’ve already lost.

“The Supreme Court decided not to have a Christmas party for 12 straight years because the justices couldn’t agree on whether to invite the Court’s Black employees” is about as tidy an encapsulation of the Supreme Court’s whole deal as I can think of
The Alarmingly Racist History of the Supreme Court’s Canceled 1947 Christmas Party
The Court held its first-ever office Christmas party in 1946. The following year, the clerks suggested inviting Black employees. It did not go over well.

It’s important to think of this systemically. Women are less likely to land managers and agents to begin with, and then less able to be able to transform successes or even jobs into higher visibility and more attention in the town. The reason they do so well in contests is many are read blind.
The number of women screenwriters on this years Blacklist is... abysmal?

Why aren't more women percolating up to fav unproduced screenplays in LA when women fill the contests, workshops, labs, and other unpaid opportunities.

Are women getting read in the right places to cut through?

According to a new study, members of Congressional leadership perform 47% better in stock market trades than their rank-and-file peers, thanks to access to nonpublic information.

Today would be a great day to ban ALL elected officials from trading stock, don't you think?

Too much out there repeating vague notions that nature protection & restoration will combat climate change

It really depends on what is protected & restored, & what the comparison is

We need to massively reduce emissions, not wave the magic wand of ‘nature’ as the solution

Jim O'Neill has a B.A. and M.A. in Humanities from Yale. He is a speechwriter. He is wholly unqualified to run the CDC.

As far as I can tell, based on the Vacancies Act he is not even qualified legally to serve as the interim CDC director, as it is a Senate-confirmable position.
Scoop - the White House is tapping JIM O'NEILL to serve as acting head of CDC, people familiar tell me

O'Neill has been serving as RFK Jr's deputy secretary. He has been vocally supportive of vaccines in the past, but also criticized Biden covid vax response.

White House taps top RFK Jr. deputy as acting CDC director
The decision comes a day after Trump fired Susan Monarez, the Senate-confirmed CDC director, prompting a series of resignations of other top officials there.

Firing and demoralizing feminized jobs as enemies of the state while brazenly bribing men with violent jobs that almost instantly puts them into the middle of middle class is very basic gendered warfare. Fulfilling the manosphere’s promise.
It is insane to me that the government can find money to pay ICE agents increasingly larger sums of money, yet teachers have to buy their own pencils.
