Insane but true fact: making US roads as safe as Canadian, Australian, or European roads would save more lives than eliminating murder from the US.

"We joke that there are 365 days of the year, and the last day of picking is day 365," Cape Cod cranberry farmer James Ross told WBUR. "Then day one of next year starts."

I like these sidewalk-level bike lanes that also have separation from pedestrian space on the sidewalk with pretty materials like cobblestone and/or trees.

People in my "progressive" neighborhood NIMBY'd a *senior affordable housing development* into reducing its units from 71 to 41. Just an absolute moral travesty. (Rogerson/Beaufort project in JP)

In the 1990s in San Francisco, I remember when the familiar sound of foghorns on the bay ceased to be necessary for maritime navigation.

People immediately yelled at the city government demanding that it install a fake foghorn to preserve the ambience.
I don't doubt this for a second and once you understand this, you will understand a lot about people

It’s not even “papers please” anymore…

Now it’s “we’re kidnapping you because you’re brown and we don’t care that your documents are five feet away in your work locker”

This is illegal, immoral and cruel.

Massachusetts needs to pass the Safe Communities Act so that we can limit such blatant police collaboration with ICE.

We can't stop everything ICE is doing, but our state and local law enforcement should no the making their jobs easier. #mapoli
