Just saw a "What's a movie that almost got made but didn't that really bums you out" skeet, and it got me thinking about In the Valley of the Gods again.
Sometimes I think about how we almost got a second game from Campo Santo, and I don't for a second blame the devs for taking a presumably great job offer from Valve, but In the Valley of the Gods being canceled is one of my great video game heartbreaks.

Dispatch really stuck the landing for me. I only wish it'd been even longer, but as I've said before, that's not because the story felt rushed - the pacing was great, I just wanted to stick with these people longer.

I've often thought that the best revenge for all this fashy misery would be affordable social housing, workers rights, a functional health service, sustainable energy and all the other good stuff they apparently hate. But I do keep glancing thoughtfully at lampposts.
With genuine shame, recent years in politics have given me my first taste for what it is to have moralised contempt for my opponents. Not hatred, not fear; contempt. There's some core element of the right wing coalition at the moment which seems to me best described as a revolt of the loser men...

Adopting a Denmark-style immigration model is a dangerous new low from our Government. Pushing temporary status, harsher family reunion rules and “parallel society” labels throws basic rights under the bus in a bid to win cheap votes.

I love it when there's a photo from the past within a video game, taken from an older installment, and they just kept the old graphics in the photo. "Remember when we all had the texture and articulation points of action figures?"

I honestly don't have any investment in James Bond as a franchise anymore; it's a fossil, and if you move on from all the problematic elements, there's very little left to distinguish it besides the name.

@adhocstudio.com Is there a way to buy the digital comics separate from the game? I bought the game for PS5, but didn't by the deluxe edition because I don't like soundtrack/artbooks etc. basically being tied to my TV, and as far as I know you can't export that stuff from the Playstation.

I wonder if Chuck Schumer knows just how much people hate him. I mean, I'm sure he knows people dislike him; no matter how insulated he might be, it can't be completely ignored. But I wonder if he truly grasps the extent to which people just deeply fucking loathe him and everything he stands for.

It's possible to recognise that we have a higher standard of living now than in the past and *also* to believe that inequitable distribution is wrong and that widespread precarity for everyone but the very rich should be fought tooth and nail.
