I love that my child is excited about playing music and I love that she is figuring out tunes on her own but I’m pretty sure I want to strangle whoever disbursed the plastic recorder into elementary schools

most of my friends had parents with (to me) more interesting taste than mine, one thing my kids won’t be able to say is “my dad just listened to Phish all the time” or w/e. even as they scoff at my old school hiphop and cringe at my noisy free jazz. I don’t push it on them. More of an osmosis parent
