To authors everywhere: Please please please stop writing dystopian novels that depict an upended society that makes lives horribly difficult. Some people are using those books for blueprints. Thank you and good day.

ICE raids are cruel, inhumane, and do nothing to serve public safety.

My responsibility is to be the mayor to each and every person that calls this city their home. That includes millions of immigrants— of which I am one.

Trump also just released the guy who lied to the FBI about the Bidens taking bribes.

He has ties to Russian intelligence — and Trump’s businesses.

Again: The law does not apply to them.

Thinking about the Democratic Party’s messaging tug-of-war between “kitchen table issues” and human rights issues, as if they’re not inextricably linked.

Affordability IS an issue of human dignity. My right to make a living wage is right there next to my right over to my own reproductive choices.

WOW. 81% of women 18-29 voted for Mamdani, 80% for Sherril, and 78% for Spanberger.

Gen Z women aren't playing around.

Time to celebrate but we must be vigilant and keep pushing to take our country back.
not to bring the vibe down, but my guess is that after tonight Trump will probably double down on gerrymandering, voter suppression, and intimidation as tactics to disincentivize Dem turnout ahead of next year‘s midterms. (with margins like these, it won’t matter, but it’s a time to be vigilant)

I was laid off from Teen Vogue this week, alongside multiple other phenomenal team members.

At our Summit, I was asked how it felt to be 1 of 2 Black women left and what that meant for representation. Now, there are no Black women at Teen Vogue and that is incredibly painful to think about.

He wants to kill Obamacare, but has no other plan. He is not satisfied with his deportation operation because his ICE agents are not abusive enough. He plans to continue murdering people in the Caribbean Sea because the law and these humans are of no concern to him. All this thanks to John Roberts.

12 days of work in 103 days.

With full pay and benefits.

The senate has been working, so this is not about the shutdown.

It is about avoiding a vote to release the Epstein files.

This administration wants to shut down the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.

That’s the agency tasked with protecting consumers, like you, from fraud, price gouging, and corporate abuse.

If you were wondering whose side they were on, here’s your answer.

It’s a sad (and chilling) day when legacy media cannot be trusted to follow even the most basic tenets of journalism.

But when one of the world’s most influential and ubiquitous news sources uses a photo from the 1992 LA uprisings to characterize events in 2025 Portland, we’re at that point
