Tim Houston is taking over as minister of everything, er, energy.

You know what? Shitty leaders think they can do everything but the best leaders hire people they trust and are capable at the job.

This kind of micromanaging doesn't end well.

So in order to "create Grokipedia" I assume Musk will have his AI trashbot scrape Wikipedia itself, apply a "make this racist and sexist and all-around hateful" filter, and then serve it back to users. Should be really useful!
We laugh at this shit -- I mean, how can you not? -- but it's serious: these guys want to infuse reactionary thinking into AI and then infuse AI into every nook & cranny of American life. They can't win the argument so they are trying to blunt-force their views onto us with money & power.

CEO pay is up 1,094% since 1978, while worker pay is up just 26%.

Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?

On a more serious note, I think it would behoove Halifax to make a PSA or series of PSAs about how our city government actually works. Cause it seems like only a like dozen people really know, and half of us are in the media.
“I think it's always unfortunate when people spread misinformation, particularly someone who's supposed to be a trusted public figure. It confuses the public. And I think it drives polarization and really does a disservice to the governance of our city."

I'll never understand the desire to magic something into existence instead of playing to our strengths. Like, NS has how many universities? And high (or low) speed rail to connect and foster growth in the people and education powered service industries isn't an option because...?
"I dunno, maybe uranium," is a very old-school Nova Scotia economic-development strategy. Sort of John Buchanan, without the charm.
