I thought the idea to offer Trump a second state visit was to avoid tariffs?

Friends (pictured below) of former British Prime Minister Liz Truss, say they are genuinely concerned & fear for her state of mind as she launches into full MAGA mode.

Before the election, I warned that there is no safe haven under authoritarianism.

If they can ship Kilmar Abrego Garcia to a foreign prison—accused of no crime, with no trial—they can do it to anyone.

Americans of conscience must stand against this now.

Our two main political parties now make it too obvious they work for the super rich. Take that as read until one of them imposes a 2% tax on those worth £10m+, turns away from America and towards Europe, gives a damn about climate change and adopts a moral position on arming Israel.

Regardless of Trump backing down on Tariffs, countries continue to forge closer trading ties with other nations to counteract the loss of America. Canada talking to the EU, Xi touring south east Asia. What’s the UK doing? What’s our direction of travel? #Starmer #Trump

Dunno about a golden age for America, but Trump has sure ushered in a golden age for memes 😆😆😆

Kemi Badenoch doesn’t have a chance at PMQs. The Tories performance in government was abysmal. There’s nothing she can point to that the Tories haven’t been much, much worse at. #PMQs #PoliticsLive

I’m guessing like the UK, America has a large swathe of floating voters, people who are not dyed in the wool Democrats or Republicans. So by now I’m thinking, Trump’s approval rating must be in free fall with just his core MAGA supporters thinking he’s doing a good job. Must be, surely ……

Hegseth says women are a liability in combat. Gabbard says DEI puts lives at risk. Waltz warns DEI will destroy military readiness.

Then they all turn around and share classified war strategy in a Signal thread.

They don’t fear “low standards.” They fear accountability.
Not to put too fine a point on it, but this scandal is what happens when you promote utterly unqualified people to the very top positions.
