This is no time to attack the BBC. It’s a time to defend it.

The specifics don’t matter here. The point is it should not be a matter for Trump who runs the BBC. If Starmer had anything about him at all, he’d say something.

‘Gove described Agnew as a “hero” for the work he did. Agnew said the government did its best in the circumstances and said it was “bollocks” to suggest the VIP lane was a “heinous plan to enrich a few of our mates…”’
Why is it always Gove? www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
Revealed: The billion-pound PPE contractor with a Tory MP on site
Special report: Uniserve was paid £1.4bn for Covid contracts that included supply of £178.5m in never-used equipment

🔴We Need to Talk About Michael Gove and Crony Covid Contracts

Gove claims he had no “active role” in the procurement of Covid PPE during the pandemic, yet evidence suggests he was involved in multiple VIP deals worth over £1billion, reports Russell Scott

The Sociopath-In-Chief couldn't be bothered to even turn his head in the direction of a man in the midst of a medical emergency who collapsed in his office. Completely incapable of empathy, the EPSTEIN Files can't be released soon enough.

This is flagrant interference in our domestic affairs by a foreign power. We have the good grace not to talk about Fox News.

Sometimes reflect on where I’d have got in politics or journalism if only my parents had taught me how to hate.

Amazing how politicians can connect with voters when they talk about what concerns them, not their billionaire donors.

A new dawn. Trump and Starmer look like the past. A sad, pathetic and shameful past. Zohran and Zack look like the future.

Is this same Labour Government expanding airports,

refuses to rule out extracting more fossil fuels from the Rosebank Oil Field

Intent on destroying bats, newts and doesn't care about nature?

Not sure going to Brazil alone is going to do much good.

We need to call a halt to stupid, irresponsible and prejudiced people seeking to whip up hatred in our country.

Who could have guessed that right-wing policies, participating in genocide and warmongering would make a 'Labour' government unpopular? 🤔

Extraordinary thing about the Epstein saga is it has resulted in only one person going to jail — a woman. Ghislaine was heavily involved, but not a user of Epstein’s services. No question of jail for Andrew: he needs only drop a prefix before his name. www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2025...
Stupidity and royal self-entitlement sank Andrew, and it may not be over yet
Indulged by his mother and ignored for too long by his siblings, it is behaviour like Andrew’s that could ultimately kill the monarchy

‘Seldom, if ever, do stage productions make me cry these days, but #TheLineofBeauty at the Almeida Theatre in London did. It brought back often painful memories of a decade that is vivid in my memory.’ www.thenewworld.co.uk/tim-walker-t...
The Line of Beauty is dazzling and devastating
There’s more humanity in this standout play about Thatcher’s Britain than in the decade itself

Two ways of looking at @ZackPolanski.
1. He offers hope and the only way out of our corrupt politics of vested interests.
2. He’ll divide the progressive vote at the next election and Labour will lose.
* Problem with 2: Labour isn’t remotely progressive and it’s going to lose anyway.

Saddam Hussein and even Liberace would have considered Trump’s golden White House ballroom vulgar.

Good grief. A politician with a brain and integrity and concern for what’s in the national interest. Starting to think I’d never see that again in my lifetime.

Curious how this government will claim to have ‘special intelligence’ on issues such as this and Palestine Action to justify what it’s doing, but where was the early intelligence on the appointment of Mandelson, the genocide, the claim they could make a success of Brexit etc?

Who’d have thought it? Reeves accepts the Brexit deal she voted for — and Starmer ordered Labour MPs to vote for — is caused long-term damage to the economy.
