The 'kin' of ‘napkin’ means "little."

‘Nap’ comes from ‘nape,' which means “tablecloth.”

So a napkin is a little tablecloth.

While the two humans and four felines normally inhabiting our home enjoy sitting on the IKEA Poang chairs, that's not actually their best feature.

Their secret superpower is the ability to swap to non cat-clawed and hair free cushions before guests come, and to swap back after they leave! 😹

For years I’ve dealt with some of the nasty comments & emails I receive by writing completely unfiltered replies, telling the sender exactly what I think of them and their comment—then deleting them. Never sending.

Turns out this is an “amazing anger management technique.”

I will keep it up!!! 😎

I've been asked by 3 media outlets in the last week to do interviews on the influenza season.

I still haven't seen our new CMOH, appointed Dec 18th, (or old one, for that matter. Or any public health official) in the media on this topic.

For the record, they are acutally paid, to do this.

This 👇

There's no such thing as a serious effort to address the implosion of Canada's healthcare system that doesn't address COVID, and the incompetence of infection control leadership.

They made a very big mistake in 2020, and they'll take the system down with them before they'll admit it.
Many doctors chiming in on how to help fix Canada's ER crisis with no mention of respirator masks or mitigating constant waves of viral illness. It's painful to witness!

Look at this chart and remember:

1) the COVID immune damage claim is that after a COVID infection, influenza gets worse

vs

2) the "immunity debt" claim is that after a bad influenza season, influenza gets better

Now look at how 2022-23 compares to previous years, and ask "Which claim was right?"
Why not both? Bad flu strain and population-level immune dysfunction from mass, repeat COVID infection.

#MaskUp and get vaxxed indeed!

P.S. We are at 29,099 cases already this year as of Dec 19.

P.P.S. Chart also shows spreading flu is a choice 🤬

It’s not a refusal to re-enter society.

It’s not shaping your life around Covid avoidance.

It’s adaptation. It’s a desire to protect health. It’s being willing to accept that things change, and masking & clean air are the way forward.
