Remember back in the day when Dr Joe would tweet out that he had extra doses of Novavax and we'd be like START THE CAR!?
Laughing today as I remember the time he vaccinated me at the clinic he was holding for unhoused folks — who unfortunately all saw my arm bleeding profusely while they waited!🩸💉😆

Hope Is Not Optimism; Hope Is Defiance
If you’re feeling overwhelmed by the enormity of the world’s pain, remember that hope isn’t a feeling but a practice—it’s what you do and what you invite others to join.

Costco now has this beautiful thinly-sliced beef. I bought a pkg and froze it in five parcels. So far we've had broccoli/beef stir-fry, pho, and — today — beef fajita bowls. Just one way to make meal prep faster and simpler for a beef meal once each week!

Clean indoor air is a fundamental pillar of school safety.
Effective ventilation drastically reduces the spread of airborne illnesses (flu, RSV, COVID) and is crucial for maintaining healthy Ontario classrooms.

We were at a field trip today where one of the adults in the audience fell asleep and was snoring loudly enough that students from several rows away were distracted by it. I decided to drop my umbrella loudly nearby and he awoke with a start — before promptly settling back in for a further nap. 😴😳😆

We experienced an excellent field trip today — WWI education program at Ruthven Park National Historic Site. I taught about WWI for a decade or so, but I still learned a lot of new things today from Andy Robertshaw. Fantastic! #PandemicHomeschool

This government is paying unelected school supervisors up to $350,000 a year to replace democratically elected trustees and they won’t even respond to parents or communities. Ontarians deserve transparency, not government appointees hiding from accountability.

I love this! One thing the pandemic brought into our lives was weekly forest school for our child and he has reaped the benefits of outdoor education in so many different ways.
How a radical experiment to bring a forest into a preschool transformed children’s health
In #Finland, kindergartens are exposing children to more mud, wild plants and moss - and finding changes to their health that show how crucial biodiversity is to wellbeing

His reply?
"I know the answer is probably supposed to be God, but I'm pretty sure it's mom."

We sang Ode to Joy in church today and, as a result, my inner monologue has been to that tune all day 🤣
Now it's time to make our dinner
Feels like a good night for soup
I will use leftover chicken
And some veggies from the fridge 🎶
