And so I bought a carrot. I'm expected to fill in a form to rate its performance.
It was orange, pointy. I did not get round to making the soup, so it went in the bin. I'll ask the worms what they thought.

My daughter has removed the option for posting her artwork to Europe due to the new legislation coming in shortly.

She has serious mobility issues, so selling her work helped improve her sense of purpose and self-worth.

Not just to the EU, but to Northern Ireland (part of the EU Single Market for goods) too.
Export to Europe? Know anyone who does – artists, designers, small businesses? There's a new Brexit bombshell coming 13 December and no-one seems to have been warned. It's called the General Product Safety Regulations (GPSR), and I've looked into it for @theneweuropean.bsky.social 🧵

An “ongoing shortage of lorry drivers” after Brexit could threaten deliveries of turkeys and mince pies this Christmas, the logistics sector has warned.
Christmas disruption looms due to lorry driver shortages and Brexit checks
There are fears driver shortages in the UK, paired with a reluctance from EU drivers to bring deliveries into Britain, might cause disruption over the festive period

It is laughable that a large proportion of GOP voters think Kamala Harris a socialist or even a communist. That they do so illustrates that they a) do not understand what socialism and communism is and b) have read no history. In Europe Harris would be considered a centrist conservative.

"Some 56% of farmland bought in 2023 was sold to landowners who were not working farmers.

The revenue per acre is too low to warrant the purchase, unless you are extremely wealthy and are avoiding inheritance tax."
Whose land? Tax avoidance and the broken economics of British farming
Noise in the billionaire press about inheritance tax changes hides a basic fact: the non-farming rich own too much land

Even the farmers own union knew it would be a disaster and still it was supported.

Boris Johnson promised farmers that “subsidies would stay 100% guaranteed”.

The National Farmers’ Union council was overwhelmingly in support of ‘Remain’, but decided not to campaign, as it would upset some of their larger farmers who were cheering Brexit.
What happened to those post-Brexit farm subsidies?
We need a discussion about UK food and farming, our resilience to external and self-inflicted events, and where the money is going
