This was better than the last issue. It was nice to get Kal being champion of the oppressed again, and his feelings of isolation work. How he gets through to Ra's feels a bit gormless (The Ultimates' social commentary has spoiled me), but if it means moving away from him ASAP, then I'll take it

It's a shame the controversy has buried everything else about this because I thought this was a decent end to a fun book.
I genuinely don't know what you'd do to salvage Featherweight after the discourse apart from a total rehaul, which at that point, you'd may as well just create a new character

My crackpot theory for why Marvel is ending Ultimate is that I think Marvel has given up on getting people to invest in their ongoings and pinning all their hopes on trades from now on. They want to cash in with a big finale and you're going to see some big Invincible-sized Ultimate omnibuses soon
