Truly it was out of curiosity: why a person with unlimited resources exhibits so little appreciation or even awareness of the things that most people value as giving meaning to life. Just minimally well to do people donate to charities, local museums & libraries & the like; they support the commonweal. & unlike the very wealthy these people pay high income taxes.

Remember that case where a bunch of authors sued AI for stealing their work? And WON?

Well, the settlement money has been announced. Each WORK that got thefted will be compensated $3k (split 50/50 bw publisher + author). So authors will be compensated $1500 per WORK stolen.

So i just learned that my graphic novel, Brownsville, is out of print at the publisher level and soon The Big Kahn will be, too. But the rights will revert to me completely, so...

...now to figure out what to do with those books. I can definitely get them posted for sale digitally. But yeah. Sad.
