My new doc is great. She doesn’t see any need for medication right now and is really the opposite of the PA in July regarding how well a person can manage diabetes through lifestyle.
It’s the lowest number on the chart to be considered pre-diabetic, down quite a bit, so I’m thrilled with my results. There are still improvements I can make, too. We’ll see what the doc wants to do next week.
Tomorrow I have labs to check my A1C, as well as other general health markers. My PA (who has left the clinic) wanted to put me on a statin and metformin 4 months ago, but I wanted to work on things myself. I have lost about 20 pounds and have changed how I eat. I recognize the signs of

Very similar to when so many of us were stealing music 25+ years ago. Bands lost label support, were dropped, bands broke up, and people got day jobs (and continued music or not. Many not really).
Most publishers (there are always exceptions) decide whether or not to buy a second book (or a third etc) based on how the previous book did. So when you pirate a book in most cases it’s less about the money you just stole from both author and publisher it’s about the future book you just killed.
