This is a 52-pound 9000+ page accordion-bound artist’s book of Donald Trump’s lies, conceived, printed, and bound by Jill and Ray Nichols of @leadgraffiti.bsky.social in Delaware. Each of the 9000 pages has the text (per the Washington Post) of one or more of Trump’s lies; none are repeated.

I don’t want to formulate words yet, but my friend Alice Wong, @sfdirewolf.bsky.social of the Disability Visibility Project, has passed.

Here are the words she left behind:

We sold 100+ copies in Oct (a lot for us) during our campaign of giving it away for free. Always a good reminder: there are more of us than it sometimes feels like.
My Antifa book is on the New York Times Bestseller list 8 years after publication.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me (and my family) in so many ways (including buying books). #NoPasarán

Sure, it's deader than dead out & about, for good reason, but have you ever hung out in a mostly empty bookstore listening to ambient music browsing the shelves? 5-stars, no notes!

One of the perks of bookselling is you sometimes get invited to sell at very cool things.

This present timeline we‘re all on may be awful, but dammit at least it still has dandies!

This month, we will be donating our profits from sales on Sundays to the Alameda County Community Food Bank.

This nation’s present leadership, which we already knew to be venal, are committed to yet more vile acts against our most vulnerable neighbors.

Did you know that some people come upon an open bookstore and don't go in? It's true! We've heard tell it happens! & that it's startling, every time.

These monsters, ours now, and likely those long before, are so because they see this as a gauntlet-thrown challenge, in the only dumb manner they can conceive, and not the defining rhetorical riddle it was.
The sentence that repeats daily in the mind, amid the cruelty and the venality and the utter disregard for the well-being of the many for the sake of unchallenged power for the few, is the most unimpeachable: For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?

Some people get excited about a new limited edition Wings LP, and others … well, decidedly more so about the arrival of a limited edition box set or Archigram.
