plus even if money for machines weren't a concern, i think american companies (and consumers) - despite how many goods of eastern origin they purchase - continue not to see the 'point' of making certain items that have vast and obvious appeal to buyers from a different part of the world lmao

i can't even begin to tell you the number of times i've said to myself "well, let me check if a western supplier has these things first" and they absolutely don't, bc they're under the impression the demand/interest isn't great enough

If the morality of why we should be defending the transgender community does not sway politicians in this state, then consider the economic ones.
